I liked this rainbow that surprised us last Friday during a sprinkle
Starting on May 15 - my blog will no longer be at https://www.texasquiltgal.com but instead will revert back to :
On May 16, Netflix will air a short documentary I am looking forward to watching: The Quilters. It is about men in a maximum security prison in Missouri who sew quilts for foster children. I have a feeling I will like it, as I am a proponent of win-win programs for incarcerated men and women.

It seems silly to pay for a custom domain when I blog so sporadically. If I do everything correctly in my settings, you should not notice any difference, but let me know if you have any issues.
I'll go ahead and list a few likes and do the I Like Thursday prompt, which continues in the bike mode: have you ever ridden a motorcycle? Well yes, I rode on the back of a motorcycle a couple of times when I was younger. They were fairly short rides, and I enjoyed them, but they were nothing I cared to continue. How about you?
Jeff's Mother's Day gift to me - an Apple gift card. So we purchased Apple TV for a few months!
I liked my Mother's Day! Our son drove up from The Woodlands and spent Saturday night with us. Jeff helped his Dad move some "junk" out of the shed, and the rest of the time we hung out under the pergola. Margaritas might have made an appearance, and the weather was magnificent - partly cloudy, cool, and not too breezy. With my Mother's Day "Apple" gift, we watched the first few episodes of Your Friends and Neighbors on Apple TV. We love Jon Hamm, and this series is very entertaining.
Tell me about your Mother's Day, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!
Your Mother's Day weekend sounds lovely, Linda, especially with your son there! That's a beautiful photo of the rainbow, too - I love how it comes down right by the red barn. The Quilters show on Netflix does sound like a good one. I also like to learn about programs for inmates that give them a positive goal to work on. Good to know about your website change. I follow you on Feedly - do you suppose I'll need to go in and re-follow at the new address?
ReplyDeletealmost all my brothers rode motorcycles - so I have been on the backs of them a lot in my younger years but it was never anything I wanted to do and my husband didn't get into it and never tried them.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to have your son home for Mother's Day. My out of state children called me and my local son came a planted a tree for me, a very nice relaxing day.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely day. I too am thinking of going back to blogspot. Are you moving all your old content?
ReplyDeleteI’m glad your son could come for Mother’s Day, and even better that he helped out with some projects. Yes, I have ridden on a motorcycle many times. My dad and brothers had motorcycles, and my husband bought one when he was going through a mid-life crisis. LOL. I would love to see that show, but I don’t have Netflix. I’m hoping I can find it on YouTube at a later date.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great weekend. I have been on a motorcycle once, my brother had a Harley and he took me out to lunch on it 5 years ago, it was fun but I don't need to do it again, LOL.
ReplyDeleteWe got down to see the babies and spent a bit of time with the pregnant couple, oldest daughter. Any day now she will become a new mom!!!
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for The Quilters on Netflix too, should be interesting. I have Apple TV and really loved Ted Lasso. I haven't found anything on it that I really like since but I might take a look at Your Friends and Neighbors.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo of the rainbow! So dramatic! Looking forward to finding you on blogger. Thank you for sharing about The Quilters. I’ll be sure to share with my friends and family! We enjoy Apple TV as well. Happy Belated Mother’s Day!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect Mother's Day to me! I enjoyed seeing your rainbow on IG, too. Good luck with the website change.
ReplyDeleteLovely rainbow, Linda!!! Happy belated Mother's Day to you! Are you like me--was on google domain and it was sold off to squarespace?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect Mother's Day. Beautiful rainbow! My dad was big into motorcycles when I was growing up, he raced dirt track for a few years. My brother learned to ride a motorcycle before he learned to ride a bike. Yes I can ride, but haven't in many, many years.
ReplyDeleteI went on a bike ride with friends years ago, it was fun but I was so windburned by the time we were done, and my hair felt like straw (even with a helmet). Mother's Day was a busy weekend, but good.
